Overview:

  • Location: 14707 Northville Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170
  • Position: Community Liaison
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Schedule: 32 hours per week - flexible schedule with some occasional weekend requirements
  • Pay: $19 per hour

Position Summary for Community Liaison:

The Community Liaison is responsible for assisting the Executive Director and Community Specialist by connecting new residents to all departments and aspects of everyday life in a retirement community.

Required Experience for Community Liaison:

  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in senior living.
  • Excellent computer skills and technical ability.

Primary Responsibilities for Community Liaison:

  • Help to prepare for the arrival of new residents. Order flowers, create welcome signs, and support new residents on move-in day.
  • Make sure the family is connected with Comcast and the TV is working.
  • Make sure new residents have an assigned seat in the dining room and make sure the culinary department is delivering food if needed.
  • Tour new residents to show where Life Enrichment activities take place, encouraging participation and connecting them with like-minded individuals.
  • Follow up with new residents for the first 30 days, organize Move-in-Momentum papers (collecting pictures and info from department heads) and work with ED to complete 30-day surveys. Reports daily to the leadership team on new residents’ progress.
  • Types notes at daily meetings and at monthly Resident Forums, maintains the Forum binder.
  • Maintains the Elopement Book, brochures, updates and replicates Resident Guidebook.
  • Help the Executive Director keep track of employee birthdays and anniversaries.
  • Help out with Life Enrichment activities as needed.
  • Learn Salesforce platform to assist Executive Director in documenting meaningful connections.
  • Assist the Community Specialists with tours if needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

General Working Conditions:

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
